Bio / Resume
A journeyman actor, creative entrepreneur, producer, director and coach with over 265 Acting assignments in the past 21 years, 12 successful years experience as an acting teacher, director, and producer with 10 produced and released projects. As an acting coach Brad has guided more than 300 students in classes, workshops, seminars, bootcamps and in private sessions in both California and Texas. Overseeing the day to day operations at the SAFA – San Antonio Film Academy, he has worked from concept to completion on feature films, TV-Pilots, commercial campaigns, corporate video libraries and more. His coaching of others traverses over three decades when in the late 1970′s he guided freestlye skiers to championship levels through his summer and winter training camps. Less than a decade later and after acquiring the title of 1979 Canadian National Amateur Champion in his freestlye skiing discipline he applied his coaching skills to business where he helped foster success for individuals and companies of all sizes through sales, business development and strategic negotiation consulting. From these combined experiences Brad brings a real world understanding of the entrepreneurial aspects of fimmaking and the intricate craft of acting. As an actor he is best known for his roles as: Michael, step-dad in the TV-Series Pilot “A Book By Its Cover” (he also directs and is executive producer), Dr. Chushfeld, the maniacal mastermind behind the chaos in Sony’s “Zombie Strippers” starring Robert Englund. The inexorably cheap and crafty Isadore Mendelove aka Izzy Legit. And greedy the real estate agent Carl Stevens in Lionsgate’s multi award winning “The Slaughter”. He’s also national spokesperson, producer, writer, director, host and narrator of the MediaPOINTE Performer video library. Brad began acting in Toronto (1991) where he studied intensively with a wide variety of top U.S. and Canadian coaches for five years. During the early years he worked consistently doing independent feature films, TV episodics, commercials, and industrials. In 1999 he moved to Texas to raise his daughter, while there he embarked upon his actor coaching career, worked on TV projects, corporate videos, commercials, and landed critically acclaimed leading theatre roles in “Dinner With Friends”, (Gabe) for which he received the ATAC Globe Award for Excellence Lead Actor Drama, “The Hairy Ape” (Yank), “Angels In America” (Louis), “Dark Horse Pale Rider” (Cristobal), “Of Mice & Men” (George), and “The Laramie Project” (multiple characters) which received the ATAC Globe Award for Excellence Best Production Drama. Focusing on the Los Angeles market from early 2005 through 2010 he worked like a demon on over 60 projects: features films, TV movies and episodics, TV pilot presentations, commercials, infomercials, webisodes, and industrials. He is also co-founder of By The Book Films creator of “A Book By Its Cover” and is also co-founder of Branded Raw Films creator of “Izzy Legit” and “The Extermutator”. Brad currently resides in San Antonio, TX.
